Encinitas School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Encinitas is August 21. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Encinitas Union School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

October

• 10/16 - 10/20: Conference Week (12:45 p.m. Dismissal)
• 10/23 - 10/31: No School (Fall Break)

November

• 11/1 - 11/3: No School (Fall Break)
• 1/6: Students Return
• 11/10: No School (Veterans Day)
• 11/22 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/22 - 12/29: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/1 - 1/5: No School (Winter Break)
• 1/8: Students Return
• 1/15: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)
• 1/19: Report Cards Sent Home

February

• 2/16: No School (Lincoln's Birthday)
• 2/19: No School (Washington's Birthday)

March

• 3/26 - 3/30: Conference Week (12:45 p.m. Dismissal)

April

• 4/2 - 4/13: No School (Spring Break)
• 4/16: Students Return

May

• 5/28: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/22: Last Day of School, Report Cards Sent Home
