Find The Cheapest Gas In Encinitas As Prices Continue To Fall
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline dropped Tuesday for the 55th consecutive day in San Diego County.

ENCINITAS, CA — Gas prices are continuing to fall in Encinitas. In fact, the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline dropped Tuesday for the 55th consecutive day in San Diego County.
The average price decreased 2.3 cents to $5.404, its lowest amount since March 7, according to figures from AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. The average price has decreased 96.9 cents since rising to a record $6.373 on June 15, according to AAA. The average price was $5.427 Monday, $5.554 a week ago, $6.090 a month ago and $4.351 a year ago.
The cheapest gas Tuesday in Encinitas was $5.49 for a gallon of self-serve regular gas at the Valero stations at 325 Encinitas Blvd. and 820 Birmingham Drive, as well as Berri Brothers at 1766 N. Coast Highway 101, according to GasBuddy, a fuel savings platform that provides real-time gas price information for more than 150,000 stations nationwide.

GasBuddy recommends drivers shop around for gas. According to the platform, conditions are changing quickly and gas stations within a few blocks can vary in price by more than $0.30 per gallon.
"We've never seen anything like 2022 at the pump, highlighted by once-in-a-lifetime events including the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which caused myriad imbalances, exacerbated by Russia's war on Ukraine," said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis for GasBuddy. "While the recent drop in gas prices has been most welcomed, the issues that led to skyrocketing prices aren't completely put to bed, and still could lead prices to eventually climb back up, should something unexpected develop."

The national average price dropped Tuesday for the 56th consecutive day, decreasing 2.6 cents to $4.033, according to AAA. The average price has dropped 98.3 cents since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14.
