WHY: The Alzheimer’s epidemic is skyrocketing. In San Diego County Alzheimer’s is the third-leading cause of death. An estimated 60,000 San Diegans are living with the disease and more than 100,000 are providing care for them. There is currently no treatment or cure for this devastating disease, but the Alzheimer’s Association is dedicated to providing support and resources through our programs and services, as well as raising crucial research funds in hopes of finding a cure.
