Graduation Day Arrives for Grauer School Seniors

The Grauer School awards diplomas on Friday as it celebrates "Twenty years of discovery."

In 1992, in Encinitas held its first graduation and commencement. One student flipped the tassel that day. On Friday in the school’s Great Hall, 14 seniors were recognized in front of family and friends, each of them introduced by a faculty member.

Along with the familiar caps, gowns and procession, music was also a part of the program as students performed songs, singing and playing guitars and piano.

The college-prep school for grades 6-12 has grown in the past 20 years, but it still keeps class sizes small with a total enrollment of 150 students. Scroll through the photos to see this year’s graduates.
