The rules of of pie-off are simple. Bring a pie you made to the party and get ready for some friendly compeition. Each invited guest (or family) brings any pie of their choice that they created. It can be a dessert pie, a cheese pie, pizza pie or really anything that is distinguishable as a pie.
All the pie's are lined up on a table and numbered. A slice is taken from each pie and passed around. Everyone at the party takes a forkful (or two) of the pies as they passed around.
Finally, after all pies are taste-tested, a voting occurs. The easiest way to vote is to have everyone vote on a small slip of paper.
Pie-off awards can be for Best in Show (best overall pie) and Best Looking or any other category you decide (best effort perhaps?).
Winners get pie-related gifts like a new pie baking pan!
