North County Restaurant Among 100 Most Romantic In America: OpenTable

CARLSBAD, CA — Three San Diego area restaurants — including one in North County — were named among the most romantic restaurants in America ahead of Valentine's Day.

The reservation service OpenTable recently released its 2024 list of the Top 100 Romantic Restaurants in America, and three local restaurants made the cut: Jeune et Jolie in Carlsbad, Mister A's in San Diego and The Marine Room in La Jolla.

OpenTable analyzed more than 12 million diner reviews and other metrics to create the list, according to the website.

Contemporary French restaurant Jeune et Jolie has a 4.9-star rating on OpenTable.

"A culinary experience celebrating the moment, Jeune et Jolie reimagines French cuisine through the vibrant lens of our Southern California landscape," according to Open Table's description.

Contemporary French and American restaurant Mister A's has a 4.8-star rating on OpenTable.

"Mister A's is the penthouse, fine-dining destination of San Diego, and has been for over 50 years," according to Open Table's description.

Seafood restaurant The Marine Room has a 4.6-star rating on OpenTable.

"For generations of San Diegans, the 'Seahorse' symbol of The Marine Room has long stood for its dramatic on-the-surf location and California coastal cuisine," according to Open Table's description. "Considering this rare blend of culinary excellence, uncompromising service and beachfront setting, it's no wonder The Marine Room has become a true San Diego landmark."

The full list includes restaurants in 33 states and the District of Columbia.
