Once Used as a Breeder, Lady Awaits a Real Home

"Lady” is the pet of the week at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society in Encinitas. She’s a 5 year old, 19 pound, Spayed, Female, Cocker Spaniel.                  

Lady spent a night in the home of an RCHS care provider. The next morning she reported, “Amazing dog! After the car ride she came inside and politely touched noses with my cat. She plopped down on the dog bed and quietly watched me make dinner. She didn't bark once. She slept mostly through the night and occasionally snores lightly. I love this dog.”

Lady was transferred to your Rancho Coastal Humane Society shelter through the Friends of County Animal Shelters program. She’s had several litters of puppies, but those days are over.  It's believed she was used as a breeder for five years before being left at a shelter.

The $145 adoption fee for Lady includes medical exam, up to date vaccinations, spay, and microchip identification.
