Partially Blind Dog Seeks Home, Risks Euthanasia if Not Adopted
Denali's owner is no longer able to care for the 6-year-old dog.
Denali, a partially blind 6-year-old dog, needs a permanent home by Friday or he may be euthanized, according to Dana Smith, President of the San Dieguito Academy Animal Care Club.
“His story is sort of sad but we are hoping for a happy ending,” she stated. “Denali was relinquished to us from his former family that could no longer care for him (they weren’t able to handle his partial blindness). (Shelter Pet Partners) took him in, found him medical care and put him with a wonderful trainer.”
SPP is asking for help in finding him a wonderful permanent home and assistance with the cost of numerous hospital bills for this pet, she added.

SPP's blog has details on Denali's personality:
He thrives as the only animal in the home, and he definitely respects authority. He is visually impaired so he doesn’t enjoy long walks, or dog parks, just a nice yard and a bed next to yours.
