Man Killed by Train in Encinitas

A man was struck and killed by a train Tuesday morning near along the railroad tracks near the 700 block of Vulcan Avenue and F Street.

The victim—an adult male—died on the scene, according to the San Diego Sheriff’s Deputy Ed Macken.

Details of the death and the victim’s identity will be determined by the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s office, Macken added.

Deputies responded to the event at 8:22 a.m.
