This week, meet Kitty Purry, a beautiful girl ready to win over your heart.

Type of animal: Cat

Age: 3 months

Weight: 3 pounds

Gender: Female, spayed

Breed: Domestic Shorthaired Calico

Kitty Purry is a beautiful girl who loves the spotlight—much like the pop star that inspired her name, Katy Perry. Volunteers say Kitty Purry looks like she’s bobbing her head to music, but it’s actually peripheral vestibular disease, which is a sort of imbalance. She also has a hearing issue, which she’s being treated for now.

Though Kitty Purry is now starring at the Rancho Coastal Humane Society, she’s hoping to land a permanent gig in your home.

The $175 adoption fee for Kitty Purry includes medical exam, spay, up to date vaccinations, and microchip identification. 

 is located at 389 Requeza St. in Encinitas. The hours of operation are from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., except on Tuesday, when the shelter opens at 11:30 a.m.
