Poll: Can Humanity Unite to Solve Its Problems as the Dalai Lama Urges?

In his talk Wednesday morning at UC San Diego, the Dalai Lama said: “We need full cooperation based on a clear realization that we are all one. Each and every individual’s future depends on the entire humanity, especially right now.”

Many in the audience were moved to tears during his remarks on global warming.  But given the deep divides over many questions, can the Tibetan spiritual leader’s optimism bear fruit?
