Rancho Coastal Humane Society Offers Free Dog Training Workshops

The next one is slated for June 30.

If you watch Dog Whisperer on TV and see glimpses of yourself in those episodes, you’re not alone. There are plenty of dog owners who could use a little help training their pets, and Rancho Coastal Humane Society is here to help.

RCHS is offering free monthly workshops that tackle everything from aggression to digging to separation anxiety. Nan Arthur, owner of Whole Dog Training will lead the classes—and if you have a dog that frequently jumps up on people, you’ll want to mark your calendar for the next workshop, which is slated for June 30 at 11 a.m.

“These workshops can give you and your dog a stronger bond and better lives together," said RCHS spokesman John Van Zante. “Nearly two hundred years ago humorist Josh Billings said, 'Money will buy a pretty good dog, but it won't buy the wag of his tail.' That's still true today.”
