Rico’s Crowned Encinitas Burrito King

Finding a good burrito in Encinitas isn’t hard—but naming the very best can be tough. With so many worthy contenders, it’s tough to pick. But alas, more than 250 locals weighed in on the issue in our Readers’ Choice poll, and according to them, rules supreme.

The burrito joint near Encinitas Boulevard and El Camino Real earned 28 percent of the vote, and for its healthier cooking methods—including its refried beans that made sans the lard.

was a close second with 26 percent of the vote, and came in third with 14 percent.
