Tips Sought In Fatal Hit-And-Run Crash In Encinitas

ENCINITAS, CA — Authorities sought the public's help this week in identifying a driver involved in a deadly hit-and-run crash last month in Encinitas.

Deputies responded to a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian shortly before 7 p.m. Jan. 19 in the 900 block of North Coast Highway 101, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office. Paramedics took the victim, a 66-year-old woman, to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Her name was not released.
