Update: Woman Reported Missing Located

The search for a woman reported missing in Cardiff ended when she was found just after 11 a.m. five blocks north of Leucadia Boulevard, according to a sheriff’s dispatcher.

She was located by lifeguards that had been notified of an alert that deputies were searching for Kim S Ware, described as a missing person at risk. She was last seen at South Cardiff State Park Seaside Reef Saturday at 8:30 a.m. walking a medium-size dog named Suki that was described as looking “like a coyote.”

The alert was issued after sheriff’s vehicle was flagged down by a person who knows Ware and reported she was missing, according to a dispatcher. Ware’s condition was not released.
