ENCINO, CA — A woman was shot to death in Encino Wednesday evening. Officers responded to the 5100 block of Hesperia Avenue, two blocks south of Ventura Boulevard, to reports of shots fired around 7:22 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Police said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and the motive leading to the fatal shooting remained under investigation Wednesday evening. There was no description of a suspect.
