3 Injured In Multi-Vehicle Crash In North County
The California Highway Patrol said the incident began around 4:45 p.m.

ESCONDIDO, CA -- Three people were injured Friday afternoon following a multi-vehicle crash on state Route 78 near El Camino Real. The California Highway Patrol said the incident began around 4:45 p.m. when a female driver veered to the right across the lanes toward the right shoulder of the freeway lanes.
The vehicle crossed the asphalt and dirt shoulder, went through the perimeter fence that separates the freeway from Vista Way, a frontage road to the north of the freeway onto Vista Way. The car hit two other vehicles, one that was pulling a boat, which then hit two other cars.
Three people were transported to nearby hospitals, the CHP said.
