North County Teen Dead In Motorcycle Crash
The motorcyclist was going at a high rate of speed when he overturned and crashed into a 2004 Kia Spectra.

VALLEY CENTER, CA -- A teen motorcyclist died Saturday after crashing into a car in North County. The incident happened around 3:30 p.m. when an 18-year-old from Pauma Valley was driving his 2006 Honda CRF motorcycle northbound on Mac Tan Road, north of Fruitvale Road, the California Highway Patrol said.
The motorcyclist was going at a high rate of speed when he overturned and crashed into a 2004 Kia Spectra that was traveling southbound, officials said.
The motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries, the CHP said. The driver of the Kia was uninjured during the collision.

Traffic around the scene was affected with intermittent traffic control and delays during the on scene investigation.
This incident remains under investigation, and driving under the influence is considered to be a factor in this collision, officials said.
