Willauer-Contributing Writer-Friday, August 22, 2025: After a 7-6 record along with a trip to the CIF Championships in Southwestern College where they were defeated by St. Augustine's 13-7 under head football coach Tony Corley the Eagles have found a way to win behind the performance of QB Robert Rentaria's 132 yards passing along with 2 passes of 25 and 37 yards to Marcos Rocha and rushed for 64 yards along with 2 touchdown runs for 25 and 37 yards as they defeated the Caimans of Classical Academy by a 42-6 score to open the 2025 football season.

Tony Corley Head Football Coach of the Eagles of San Pasqual: "When we lead 14-0, our squad started off doing great things on offensive we did well then the turnovers to them were costly." "Classical Academy played hard tonight as our defense couldn't get off the field the first half was tough." "Robert Rentaria QB is our leader the offensive line has helped him a lot." "Cooper Marquez my other back is a tough strong kid he ran real hard and that is what we're looking for on the field." "He is a kind of kid that we need for a ground game were good on throwing the ball right now but at practice were going to correct the mistakes on the running game Torrey Pines is very good excellent they are a quality team which will be a huge test for us/

The Caimans of Classical Academy at 0-1 scored their only touchdown by Thomas Wentzel as he threw a 67 yard pass to TJ Winters and will travel to Escondido to take on the Cougars while the Eagles of St. Pasqual 1-0 will travel to Torrey Pines kickoff date on 8-29-25 time at 7:pm.
