Stone Brewing Announces Fundraiser For CA Mudslide Victims
The Escondido-based company said it will donate a portion of proceeds to Montecito residents.

ESCONDIDO, CA -- Escondido-based Stone Brewing announced this month it will donate a portion of proceeds to the victims of the Montecito mudslides.
The popular craft brewer, which was founded by Greg Koch and Steve Wagner in 1996, said the money will be generated from a percentage of Stone beer sales and the sales of Stone Distributing Co.’s supplier partners, most notably MadeWest Brewing Co. (Ventura) and Silva Brewing (Paso Robles).
In addition, Stone Brewing will donate $1 of every pint or growler fill of Stone IPA at all of its Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens, Stone Brewing Taproom and Stone Company Store locations. Partner breweries of Stone Distributing Co. contributing to the month-long fundraising effort include:

“Our hearts are heavy for the communities affected by the fires, and now mud slides, in Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties,” said CEO Dominic Engels. “The craft brewing community has always been of the mindset that our collective efforts are more important than that of our individual needs and this is no exception. These communities really need our help, and given the good nature of our supplier partners and craft beer fans, we’re well positioned to provide financial support for their long recovery ahead.”
Last October, the company also fundraised $72,000 for victims of the northern California wildfires. To date, Stone Brewing has donated more than $3.5 million to charity, the company said.
