A Farmers Market Comes to Fair Oaks (PHOTOS)
The Fair Oaks Farmers Market made its debut in Plaza Park Wednesday.
Plaza Park inside The Village played host to Fair Oaks' first farmers market and those who showed up to partake in the festivities appeared excited about the debut.
It was a little after 4 p.m. Wednesday and already the park was crammed with customers, live music and plenty of booths to peruse.
Fair Oaks Recreation and Park District recreation coordinator Sabrina Bernardo was amazed by the market's first-day turnout.

"People aren't even off work yet, so I think that's a good testament to what people think about this," Bernardo said. "I think people really wanted it."
Bernardo explained the market was filled with certified organic and other food vendors, something Bernardo felt, "fits for a farmers market itself."
