After seven days of voting on Fair Oaks Patch's Cutest Dog Contest, the winner with 22 votes is ...
Stewart!
The 2-year-old canine was named for his scholarly appearance, said owner Michelle "Shelley" Davila. The proud owner said Stewart just seemed like an appropriate name choice.
Davila explained, though no one knows for sure where he came from or who his real parents truly are, Stewart made his way into the hearts of many.

Indeed, it would seem to be the case, as Stewart received a total of 22 votes followed by Maddie the Weimaraner, who got 19 comments in his support and Winston, who earned six votes.

In entering her dog (that looks "sort of like a cross between a shrunken labradore and pug") into the contest, Davila explained Stewart is a crazy dog who loves to chase the owner's other pet cats all over the house, no matter how often she tells him not to.
Congratulations to the Michelle for entering your loyal companion into the contest and rallying your friends behind their adorable pooch.
A total of 54 votes were cast in the contest that began at 2 p.m. Pacific time Monday, June 25 and ended at 2 p.m. Pacific time, Monday, July 2.
Stewart will receive a $25 gift certificate to a pet store in town and a pair of Patch T-shirts and Maddie will get two free T-shirts or a free Patch snuggie to wear while cuddled up on the couch with her favorite person.
