Bella Vista Baseball to Begin Fair Oaks High School Playoff Race Today

With stiff competition from all over the Sacramento area, the playoff race is shaping up to be a wild one.

Sac-Joaquin Section baseball playoffs kick off today with none other than Bella Vista High School leading things off in CIF Division II. The playoffs season is likely to be full of surprise upsets and victories as a wide range of high schools, both large and small, take to the diamond.

Bella Vista will get things going when they host Sacramento High School Monday at 4 p.m. The tenth-seeded Broncos (19-8) face off against an unseeded Dragons (17-9) team. The Sacramento Bee has ranked Bella Vista 14 amongst 20 other Sacramento high schools, including Del Campo and Casa Roble. Del Campo ranked 13, while Casa Roble is a 16 seed in the Bee’s rankings.

The next round of Fair Oaks high school baseball playoffs is set for Thursday, when the winner of Bella Vista’s game takes on top-seeded Rocklin High School at 4 p.m. at Sacramento City College. Del Campo also plays Thursday at 7 p.m. at Sac City when the team takes on McClatchy High School’s second-seeded team.
