Bella Vista Student Takes On Book Drive For Liberia

Mira Loma High School grad, Casey Robbins will host a benefit concert Thursday to benefit Liberian students at which time she will also pass on her duties to Bella Vista Student, Graham Richardson.

A benefit concert Thursday in Roseville will benefit an organization started by a   that collects textbooks for students in the African country of Liberia.

The bands Official Response, Aquanet, Autumn Sky, The Hungry, and Crow Canyon are playing at Club Retro, 1529 Eureka Road, from 5 to 10 p.m. Tickets are $10 and all proceeds go to the Textbooks for Liberia Organization started by .

Robbins will attend Stanford University in the fall at which time she will pass on her responsibilities to Bella Vista High School student, Graham Richardson.

Robbins started the organization when she was an 8th grader at . Since then, the project has sent about 20,000 books to Liberia.The concert is being held in order to raise money to send the next shipment.

"We gathered up a bunch of local bands so we're giving them a chance to come together and play while raising money for Textbooks for Liberia," Robbins said.
