The enthusiasm is high as we approach this game against Bethel (at 7 p.m. Friday at Vallejo High School), whom we have never played before.
There is an increased energy on the part of the players after making the playoffs.

Bethel has excellent team speed- we need to stop their veer/option attack; we are placing a strong emphasis on proper alignment and assignment discipline in terms of defending the option.
On defense, Bethel uses a pressure scheme- we need to protect our quarterback and stay out of long yardage situations.
