Carmichael Council To Discuss Medical Marijuana Shops

The Carmichael-Old Foothill Farms Community Planning Advisory Council will discuss at its meeting Wednesday.

The council will hear from principal planner Tricia Stevens about an interim urgency ordinance of the Sacramento County Zoning Code relating to the cultivation and dispensing of medical marijuana. 

The medical pot shops in Carmichael and around Sacramento County are in danger of closing down depending on county officials.

Also on Wednesday, the council will consider a use permit to allow dancing at . The dance floor area within the restaurant would be about 548 square feet.

Finally, the council will consider an application for a liquor license for the In & Out Market at 4781 Manzanita Avenue.

The council is comprised of chairman James Rae, vice chairman Greg Vlasek and members Christopher Wilson, Susan Holtgrave, Thomas Novi, Michael Favero and Bradley DeLuchi.
