Monthly labor force data for cities and census designated places has been released for Carmichael by the California Employment Development Department.
The Carmichael labor force is about 28,300 residents and about 25,700 are employed, according to labor statistics, leaving about 2,600 unemployed, or about 9.2 percent of the total labor force.
