Carmichael's Ross Davidson Passes Away

Davidson was Chamber benefactor, veteran.

Ross Davidson, a benefactor and community leader, died Saturday of natural causes, chamber officials announced today. He was 91.

Davidson was a decorated World War II veteran and was a community leader in Carmichael for more than 60 years, including as president and honorary mayor in the chamber, officials said. As honorary governor, he rode in the .

"Ross will be deeply missed in the community he loved," chamber officials said in a released statement. "We offer our condolences to the Davidson family and the hundreds of people who respected and loved this great American."

A burial for Davidson with full military honors is scheduled for May 15 at 10 a.m. at East Lawn Mortuary, 5757 Greenback Lane. A service of remembrance will be held there at 11 a.m.
