More People Than Chickens at Fair Oaks Chicken Festival
With so many people lining the streets of Fair Oaks Village at the seventh annual Chicken Festival, one might have been hard pressed to find a chicken.
They could be heard all across the area, but with the throngs of people crowding the streets of Fair Oaks Village, one may have been hard pressed to find the seventh annual Chicken Festival's guest(s) of honor.
"I've never seen this many people out here before," said 40-year owner of Village Bistro Gerard Robert. "I mean, I don't know if I've seen a single chicken all day. Have you?"
Fair Oaks Recreation and Park District administrator Maureen Zamarippa estimated anywhere between 12,000 and 15,000 made it out to the Fair Oaks Chicken Festival, held Saturday, Sept. 15.

There was fun for all ages, too.
