took eighth place at the National Championships on Saturday on the beautiful University of Wisconsin-Madison campus.
Coaches Jeff Jungk and Robert Sherriff along with team captains Ryan Cohen and Callie Kernick were presented with a trophy on stage in front of thousands of spectators. Churchill took home seven total medals (top six) out of the 23 events; this doubled the goal set by the coaches.
The top finish was second place in Microbe Mission by Marcello Chang and Vivian Yang. Thank you to Ms. Hollenbeck for her outstanding coaching on that event.

Marcello was the team's top medalist earning three total medals. Ryan Cohen was our other multiple medalist with two. The team is very pleased with their results.
Finishing top 10 (out of 60 total teams) was not easy but the kids stepped up to the challenge performed great and had a lot of fun in the process. Mira Loma High School took 10th place and also was called up on stage for a trophy.
