By Alan Anzai The Rio Americano boys and girls teams ran in the Sac-Joaquin Section Division III Championships held at Folsom High School on Nov. 11 and the varsity girls came in 4th place. Junior Macaulay Porter, sophomore Elizabeth Hutchison and senior Devyn Andrews captured all-section honors and received medals. Porter and Hutchison also qualified for the state cross country championships, which will be held on Saturday at Woodward Park in Fresno.   The varsity boys came in 9th place, with junior George Halvorsen earning all-section honors and medaling.   Sophomore Audrey Nishi also medaled in the girls frosh/soph race. Runners from other Carmichael-area schools will compete in the state meet: Del Campo- Jordan Rushing, Sean Jagerson, Tyler Mercado, Antonio Aguirre - Neysa Mains, Kandace Compton - Neilson Powless, Eleah Miner, Alli Jacobs, Holly Harvey --- Editor Victor Calderon contributed to this report.
