It's Colin O'Connor, Patch's Teacher of the Month for December.
O'Connor is a 2004 Jesuit graduate and is in his third year at Jesuit, teaching English to freshmen and juniors. He is also an assistant coach for the Marauders and swimming teams.

"It made it very comfortable for me," O'Connor said of returning to teach at Jesuit. "I knew the educational model and it's a very supportive administration."
He did his student teaching in San Luis Obispo and has a bachelor's degree in English from the University of California, Los Angeles and a teaching credential from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.

O'Connor said he relates to the Jesuit students and doesn't need to focus on new technologies to reach out to the iPod/Facebook/Twitter generation.
"The culture is rapidly changing but I'm an old soul," he said.
O'Connor's younger brothers have gone throug Jesuit as well- Kyle is a fellow alum and Kevin is now a senior.
"He hits me up for lunch money and I get snacks from him so we help each other out," O'Connor said.
O'Connor lives in Davis with his wife Marissa, a law student at the University of California, Davis.
