Disc Golf Course To Stay In Carmichael Park

The disc golf course at Carmichael Park will continue to be in operation, after parks district officials voted Thursday to remove a probationary status.

By a unanimous vote, the Carmichael Recreation and Parks District board voted to remove the probation status for the nine-hole course in place since June, said Jack Harrison, the district administrator.

"It's very popular," Harrison said. "We've had few problems... and we made sure there were no conflicts with public uses in the park."

There was also no official opposition from nearby residents, he said.

"We voted to remove the probationary status so disc golfers can know they have a place at Carmichael Park."
