Driver Sustains Minor Injuries in Sunrise Boulevard Accident (VIDEO)
The driver was transported to Mercy San Juan Hospital.
For reasons unknown at this time, at approximately 1:55 p.m. Thursday, a female driving on Sunrise Boulevard found herself facing northbound traffic after apparently losing control of her vehicle, swiping a motorcyclist and eventually smashing into a tree.
That's where Sacramento Metro Fire District crews found the woman, just north of Cavalli Way, said Metro assistant chief Scott Cockrum.
Upon arrival Metro crews noted the woman may have been facing critical trauma, though she was concsious at the time. After removing the woman, crews transported her to Mercy San Juan Hospital noting minor injuries.

"She didn't look too bad," Cockrum said.
The motorcyclist was apparently relatively uninjured, Cockrum said.

No word on whether the accident would hold up traffic on either side of Sunrise Blvd. Calls to California Highway Patrol officials were not returned at the time of this report.
