The girls tennis team may be inexperienced but the team's coach and players say they're looking for a fresh start.
"We are a very young team with very little experience," Eagles coach Cami Wolthuis said of her team that has only one senior, six juniors and four sophomores. "But we're energetic and fresh."
Victoria Taruso, a junior, said her team is improving every match.

"Everyone, including those on our doubles teams, are getting better," Taruso said.
Megan Sommers is a junior and won a singles match last week against Del Campo of Fair Oaks.

"I feel like I'm improving," Sommers said. "I think I'm getting there."
Sophomore Annie Lin takes Advanced Placement classes and plays the piano in the Lifting Spirits with Music group.
"We've been okay but we have some room for improvement," Lin said of the tennis team.
Wolthius said Mira Loma and Rio Americano are the Eagles' main league rivals.
"I have faith in my team though," she said. "We do have pretty good chances of competing."
El Camino's next match is Tuesday at Del Norte against Mira Loma starting at 3:30 p.m.
