El Camino's Chernyetsky Makes Tennis Playoffs
Chernyetsky makes it as a freshman, plays today.

El Camino student Carolina Chernyetsky is the ' lone representative in the section girls tennis playoffs today and she is only a freshman.
Chernyetsky begins play shortly after 11 a.m. today at Johnson Ranch Racquet Club in Roseville. To qualify, she had to get first or second place in league play to make it to the sectionals.
"I think it's really cool," Chernyetsky said. "I think it's going to be fun. The girls, we're friends and we all know each other well."

Chernyetsky said she and her teammates won more matches this season than last. The team got contributions from doubles players and sisters Melissa and Michelle Brown.
"I hope to do well (in the playoffs) and have good matches there," she said.

Chernyetsky attended Arden Middle School before coming to El Camino.
"I like most of the people here," she said. "The teachers know how to explain everything well and (girls tennis coach Cami) Wolthuis is really cool."
