and will both play a home football game tonight, in the same stadium at the same time.

The Eagles and Matadors share El Camino's Abbott Field, as Mira Loma is without a stadium of its own. Because of that Mira Loma has had to play some games on Thursday nights or Saturday afternoons.

Both teams have a 2-6 record on the season. The game begins at about 7:30 p.m.

"I feel anytime we play Mira Loma or (Americano), it’s a bigger game. It’s a neighborhood rivalry and a league game which makes it that much more important. The players all know each other and see each other in the community so it adds bragging rights some of these players have known each other since elementary school. In terms of getting a win we need to just play four quarters of football and eliminate all mistakes. If we can do that we will be in a very good spot to get the win."

-Wes Van Der Mik, Mira Loma quarterback

"The rivarly has been there since the start. Being in a cross street rivalry is always fun to play in, especially when there is clear animosity between our teams. I believe we need to have a good week of practice, and keep our temper. If we stay fundamentally sound, everyone should be in for a good game."

-Aaron Finch, Mira Loma running back/cornerback

"I believe that we have the upper hand on this one. We are working really hard just because it's a rivalry game."
