Fair Oaks Homes Host National Night Out Event
We're looking for residents hosting block parties or other events.

Fair Oaks residents are actually being encouraged to party on a Tuesday night by local law enforcement.
Don't worry though, it's with good reason.
National Night Out, an annual event designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, will be observed Tuesday night. Residents will be hosting block parties, barbecues and other activities to generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs as well as strengthening neighborhood spirit and law enforcement-community partnerships.

According to a message sent out by Sacramento County Sheriff spokesman, Jason Ramos the event is also meant to send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized against crime.
Fair Oaks neighborhoods in particular will be hosting ice cream socials, as well as barbecues and swim parties to celebrate the day.

Sheriff’s Department’s executive and command staff will be out on National Night Out visiting with these groups, to “thank” them for being active participants on the fight against crime.
