Feb. 23-27: Home Burglary Remains Unsolved
A man was arrested for violating a restraining order placed upon him by his mother.

A Feb. 16 burglary remains unsolved after an unknown number of suspects entered through an unlocked garage door, gaining access to a home on the 4400 block of New York Avenue. The suspects then entered the residence through an unlocked door leading to the kitchen.
According to a report filed by Sacramento County Sheriff's deputies, around 10:30 a.m. the suspect(s) used a large screwdriver from the garage to pry open a small gun safe, taking several firearms. Additionally, suspects ransacked the victim's bedroom and stole several items of jewelry. Suspect(s) exited the residence through the garage and fled the area. No one was seen or heard. If the suspects are found, they could face felony burglary charges, under California Penal Code 459.

The victim has a valid, domestic violence restraining order against her son, David Noel, 52, according to a Sheriff's deputy report. The order states that Noel is to remain 100 yards away from the mother and her residence.
Around 11 a.m. deputies received several calls from neighbors saying that Noel was trying to enter his mother's 8100 block Carriage Lane house while she was not at home. A check of the exterior of the residence was secure. A neighbor provided deputies a key to the residence to check inside. Deputies located Noel inside the house.
"Officers did, in fact, recover a house key from his person," said Sheriff's spokesman Jason Ramos in an e-mail. "It seems as if this guy just can’t get the hint and stay away and comply with the restraining order."
As Noel was placed into a patrol vehicle, he screamed out at to several of the residents that he was going to kill them. All the victims are elderly females. The victims took the threats as credible and stated they are fearful of Noel and fear he will follow through on his threats.
"His threats to kill or harm the neighbors stems from his discontent toward them," Ramos said. "He thinks they called the cops, or he just doesn’t like them because they support Noel’s mother’s decision to want him to stay away."
Ramos also explained one of the victims alluded to the fact that Noel has hid in her backyard on previous occasions, stalking his mother’s residence or possibly waiting for it to be unoccupied so he could go inside.
Noel was booked at the jail on a variety of charges, including threatening bodily harm on another (PC 422), intentional violation of a restraining order (PC 273.6) and violating probationary terms (PC 1203.2).
