Fire Burns Through Home Garage, Injures One (Video)

Fire officials believe the burn was accidental.

Though the exact cause of a fire that burned through a Curragh Downs home garage Tuesday evening is still being determined, Sacramento Metro Fire Department officials are ruling the burn an accident, said Metro Assistant Fire Chief Scott Cockrum.

The fire, which broke out around 6:10 p.m., was caught on video by fire crews shortly after most of the flames had been extinguished, showing most of the garage completely gutted and the wrecked remains of the home owners car.

Cockrum said crews speculate the garage sustained about $60,000 in damages.
