A Sacramento Metro firefighter has been hurt while attempting to extinguish a two-alarm fire that broke out in a Fair Oaks home around 8 a.m., officials say.
The fire broke out on the 6700 block of Ellsworth Cir.
Officials believe the firefighter may have been on the roof of the house when it collapsed underneath him, sending him into the interior of the burning home. Officials say he has sustained burns to the face and other extremities and has been rushed to UC Davis Medical Center for treatment.
