Fireworks Stands Open for Business Tuesday

The long wait to purchase legal safe and sane fireworks arrives Tuesday as at least 17 firworks stands open for business.

Safe and Sane fireworks go on sale in Sacramento County. There are 237 retail sites within Sacramento Metro Fire’s jurisdiction that will be open for business beginning at noon Tuesday until 10 p.m. on July 4, according to a fire district press release. 

Hours of operation for fireworks booths are from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. 

TNT Fireworks has a dozen stands while Phantom Fireworks has five, according to Carmichael Patch research and those companies' websites.

The TNT stands are at:

-6314 Fair Oaks Boulevard, California Family Fitness Center shopping center

-4949 Marconi Avenue, Marconi and Root

-7100 Fair Oaks Blvd.,

-7241 Fair Oaks Blvd., Big Lots shopping center

-4040 Manzanita Avenue, Safeway shopping center

-4005 Manzanita Ave., Bel Air shopping center

- 5631 Cypress Avenue, Elks Lodge

-4450 Manzanita Ave., former Crestview Lanes site

-4722 Manzanita Ave., Save Mart shopping center, benefitting the Carmichael Soccer Club.

-6201 Winding Way,

-5938 Madison Avenue, east of Arco gas station

-5220 Manzanita Ave., Madison Plaza

Additionally, will host a TNT fireworks stand on Watt Avenue just north of Arden Way (in front of Rite‐Aid, see attached PDF for a $5 off coupon). The will be at a TNT stand at Arden and Eastern in the Whole Foods parking lot.

Also, the Glen Oaks Swim Club will sell at a Phantom stand outside the Quicker Stop Market, 6725 Winding Way in Fair Oaks.

Children should be supervised at all times when fireworks are in use; even Safe and Sane fireworks can cause injury, fire officials said.

Do not let your children run with sparklers and ensure that they maintain a safe distance from others while handling them to avoid accidental burns. Always have a functioning hose ready to fully extinguish used fireworks.
