It's a weekend when everyone is Greek, even if you or your ancestors are not. It's also a time for delicious Greek food, beverages and pastries.

I recently enjoyed the gyro, which includes a hearty portion of lamb and beef thinly sliced and served with tomatoes, onions, tsatziki sauce and pita bread. I also had a plate of spanakopita- a pastry filled with spinach, feta cheese (a favorite of mine) onions and dill seasoning. To drink I had a Coke.
