Homeowner Victim of Deputies' Mistaken Identity
A Carmichael home owner got an unsolicited surprise visit from Sacramento County Sheriff's office Monday morning.

When 15 Sacramento County Sheriff's Department cars showed up at the residence of a homeowner on the 4400 block of Stollwood Drive, it was a visit he was not expecting.
"He was definitely a little surprised to see 15 sheriff's cars show up at his home," said sheriff's spokesman Dep. Jason Ramos.
An anonymous tip was phoned into the sheriff's department alerting dispatchers to a possible burglary in progress. Units arrived to the Stollwood Drive residence, surrounding it with the belief a burglary suspect had fled into the home.

"I don’t know if he has barricaded himself or not," Ramos said in an e-mailed alert.
When officers ascertained the scene they came to the realization the presumed burglar was in fact the home's owner. He was cleaning his gutters, presumably to avoid flooding during the day's heavy rain fall.
