"Already we have prizes from such local businesses as Scott’s Seafood, Land Ocean, Dickie’s BBQ, Edible Arrangements, Visconte’s and Macaroni Grill," she said.

Guests are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items, such as cereal, peanut butter, pasta, chili, paper products and canned food items to help those in the community. Local business owners will be provided the opportunity to raffle their own prizes to help benefit the food banks as well.

Last year the drive received approximately 1,000 pounds of food last and $750 in monetary donations, Endres said.

"This year we extended our reach to include multiple chambers, including the Fair Oaks and Citrus Heights chambers," Endres said. "We added an additional marketer to canvass throughout the Fair Oaks, Orangevale and Foldom areas."

The food will be distributed through the Twin Lakes and Orangevale Food Banks.
