Jesuit Basketball to Host Grant in Section Playoffs

No. 3 Marauders open up against Pacers Wednesday

The Jesuit Marauders learned their playoff fate today- a home contest on Wednesday against Grant High School.

The no. 3-seeded Marauders (19-8, 6-4 in Delta River League play) open up the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division I playoffs against the no. 14 Pacers (16-10, 7-3 in Delta Valley league play).

"From what I know, (Grant) is very athletic and they have a lot of talent," Jesuit head coach Greg Harcos said. "We have to meet their intensity because they can beat anybody."

Jesuit goes into the game on a two-game winning streak, with wins at Ponderosa and this past Friday against .

With a win Wednesday, Jesuit would host a second-round game this upcoming Friday against the winner of no. 6 Burbank and no. 11 Grace Davis.

Fellow Delta River League member Sheldon is the no. 1 seed. Other DRL schools are no. 12 Oak Ridge and Pleasant Grove, which plays Lincoln on Tuesday in a play-in game with the winner getting the no. 15 seed and a first-round matchup Wednesday at Franklin.

The final four teams play March 1 at Arco Arena with the section finals set for March 5.
