Major Accident on Sunrise Stops Traffic in Both Lanes

A major accident involving a Toyota Solara and a motorcyclist has stopped tracffic in both directions at the intersection of Sunrise Boulevard and Wildridge Drive.

Authorities reported the accident occured shortly after 3 p.m. when the Toyota veered from the southbound lanes into northbound lanes, striking the motorcyclist and became wedged between two trees on the side of the road. There are no reports at this time as to why the vehicle veered into oncoming traffic.

Reports indicate the both drivers of the motorcycle and Toyota were seriously injured and taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Traffic has reopened on Sunrise Blvd.
