Man Flees from Wild Sports with Stolen Shotgun
The following information was supplied by the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A customer inquiring about shotguns at the Orangevale sporting goods store Wild Sports found little time for paper work or the notion of payment when he fled the store with a shotgun inside his jacket.
According to a Sacramento County Sheriff's report, on June 24 the man entered the store and inquired about a shotgun on display. The clerk removed the gun from its rack, allowing the man to examine it before returning the gun to the rack. According to the report, when the clerk went into a back room the suspect went behind the counter, took the shotgun off the display rack and concealed it inside of his jacket. The suspect then passed all points of payment and exited the store without paying for the unloaded weapon, according to the report.
The report states the suspect was seen fleeing the store in an unknown direction.

The gun stolen was a black, 12-gauge shotgun with a pistol grip, Ramos said.

Suspect(s) sought in area home invasion
A Fair Oaks resident woke to find her Winding Way home back door forceably pried ajar, dresser drawers ransacked and items strewn about and missing.
According to a Sheriff's report, the incident occurred June 25 around 6:45 a.m. The report states unknown suspects entered the victims home through a side yard sliding glass door.
Sheriff's spokesman Jason Ramos explained the only evidence of forced entry at the residence was through the pet door insert, which had been ripped out.
"Having read the observations section of the report, the responding deputy described a scene that was consistent with a burglary having occurred – drawers open, items strewn about, items missing, etc.," Ramos said.
