Man in Carmichael Arrested After Stabbing Relatives

Charged with assault with a deadly weapon, domestic violence

A man in Carmichael has been arrested on suspicion of stabbing his relatives with a steak knife during an argument while the man was drunk, the Sacramento County sheriff's office has confirmed.

The incident happened about 5 a.m. Monday during a domestic dispute at a home on the 5800 block of Enfield Street involving Enrique Santay, 30, his wife and three relatives trying to intervene, Dep. Jason Ramos said.

Deputies responding to a 911 call by one of the victims found one man stabbed in the chest, a second man stabbed in the hip and a third who lost part of a finger. The suspect's wife has an eye injury. The four victims were treated at an area hospital.

Satay was charged with assault with a deadly weapon for the three male victims cut with knife and domestic violence for punching his wife, Ramos said. No injuries are life-threatening.

Authorities arrested Satay a few miles from his home. The incident stemmed from his intoxication-fueled domestic argument with his wife, Ramos said.
