Motorist Crashes Into Power Pole on Garfield Ave.
No injuries reported, SMUD crew out at site.
A motorist crashed into an electrical pole in front of the New Apostolic Church on Garfield Avenue in Carmichael earlier this morning, causing it to break and fall into the roadway.
At about 9:35 a.m., the male motorist was driving a black Acura southbound on Garfield when he drifted across into the northbound lane for unknown reasons, said California Highway Patrol Officer Brian Bews. The motorist drove in front of a home at 3628 Garfield before striking the pole and driving through bushes before coming to a stop in front of the church at 3620 Garfield Ave.
No injuries were reported, Bews said.
